For the past 5 weeks, a class of year 10 students have been exploring the artwork by Cristina Troufa and have produced stunning results. Their theme was ‘Inner Worlds’ whereby they were asked to act out their own conflicting thoughts in the form of multiples of their own image. They used photography to capture themselves seemingly interacting with their own self by editing their images in Photoshop. Some types of interactions they acted out included harassment, loneliness, glory, boredom, playfulness etc. It was great to see that all students approached this painting task with such different ideas and it is wonderful to see that these artworks are now on display in the Front office hallway exhibition space.
