Through the Window

This term, students in Ms Lymn’s year 6 Art class have been exploring monotype printmaking. They were inspired by the paintings by American artist Edward Hopper and how he showed the private lives of people through their windows. Students have created their own imaginary homes that can be viewed into as if their walls are invisible. The class learnt about a variety of monoprinting (which means ‘one print’) and layered imagery on top of each other. Each student approached this task with energy and enthusiasm and their results are very diverse.
