For the past term, one of the year 6 classes has been working on a very special project. This year is the 50th anniversary of Maurice Sendak’s beautiful children’s book ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. The students were inspired by the textile artist Samantha Cotterill and made both embroidered hoops and soft sculptures depicting phrases from the story. All 19 students involved showed an enthusiastic approach to textile making and original interpretations of the story.
